Dr Tarun Tapas Mukherjee is an Associate Professor in the English Department at Bhatter College, Dantan, Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal. He co-founded the Rupkatha Journal on Interdisciplinary Studies in Humanities alongside Professor Tirtha Prasad Mukhopadhyay. Driven by his enthusiasm for Open Access and digital technology, Dr Mukherjee launched the project in 2008. Since then, he has consistently introduced and implemented measures to ensure standardization, adhering to specific international criteria.

In 2024, Dr Mukherjee founded the Critical Gender Studies Journal (www.cgsjournal.com).
